Global Handicaps
CueView uses statistical data across all players to create a handicap system that allows any two members playing for the first time to have a competitive game.
Handicap system key points:-
- ID based user account signup process to prevent multiple accounts being created by players
- Signup process takes new members through set questions and routines to ascertain an initial handicap
- Handicap changes are announced to players with encouragement to improve further
- User position against friends accounts, local and worldwide players are displayed in user accounts
- Practice, friendly and competitive play is tracked to adjust player handicap after a period of play
- Form is tracked to ensure dips and peaks in performance do not heavily influence handicap
- New user performance is tracked real-time during tournament play to ensure handicap is fair to all participants
- Player handicaps and stats are accessible by authorised tournament organisers
- Friendly and Tournament(s) handicaps are separated to provide tournament organisers handicap control for local league and tournaments
- User resettable statistics hide history from users, but are still viewable by tournament organisers and used in handicap calculations
